Bluristic reflections
A Final Reflection on Creative Motion
Recent posts have largely documented the results of my experiments using the Bluristic mobile app. What began with curiosity and exploration has resulted in a welcome addition to my creative toolbox.
Discoveries made whilst using Bluristic reminded me that looking beyond the intended use of any tool can yield surprising results. Thinking of such tools as a starting point offers an invitation to follow our curiosity, the freedom to play with impunity, and to embrace failures as a necessity for growth.
Following such a project I always try to set aside time before making final assessments, as my opinion can often change after processing and the initial emotional connection levels out. The following gallery includes my current favorites. It brings together a selection from earlier blog posts, alongside some new additions and reprocessed images that I feel deserve attention, as well as others included simply to demonstrate the range of the app.
Each image has its own story; together, they create a visual record that traces the arc of the project.
It has been rewarding to see the interest in the Bluristic app grow since this project started. Following engagement with the developer, this has resulted in an update to the Android version of the app that allows its use on more recent models, along with hints of new features coming. I can’t wait to see where this leads us!
As always, I encourage comments and feedback. Have you added the Bluristic app to your own creative arsenal, and are you excited by the results?
