ETB - train time
Life’s a journey
During my extended exploration of the Bluristic app, I spent a lot of time moving around New York using its extensive subway system. Like most city dwellers and regular travelers, I’ve found that daily transit quickly becomes mundane, something you endure rather than enjoy. So when an opportunity arises to add a little interest to that time, it’s worth taking.
Not one to let that opportunity pass, I decided to make full use of these journeys by exploring and refining my approach with the Bluristic app, curious to see what it might reveal. With the emphasis remaining on the subway experience itself, I made a conscious effort to try and vary the content and provide a more rounded view of the experience.
The results you see here may not be world-beaters, but that was never really the point. This small project helped break up the monotony of travel and, just as importantly, reminded me how much enjoyment can be found in experimenting, especially in places we may be prone to overlook.
As always, I’d love to hear your feedback on this post, and whether any of the images have inspired you. When you find yourself with time on your hands, do you take creative steps naturally, or do you need a specific goal to feel motivated?
