kodak momentA receding tide and wonderful lighting drew me to this wet patch of sand and the reflections it was producing. My perfect opportunity arose when a couple stopped to take a photo of the beach. I simply love the way the reflection gives such a vibrant and surreal representation of the couple. Note that the image can be rotated to create perhaps a less challenging perspective, but one that diminishes intrigue and puzzlement
minimal refugeA group of birds shelters from a heavy snowstorm on the roof peak of a barn. For them, such minimal refuge appears to suffice.

last leaf of fallThis Oak leaf was captured after being blown onto a beach and trapped by the sand.

Quarry study #1This image was captured at an abandoned granite quarry. It is easy to get lost in the wonderful array of natural coloring and horizontal planes where blocks were cut and extracted. Looking closer the viewer may find remnants of iron supports, pockets of ice and ledges where grasses struggle to exist. This artwork would elevate any neutral wall, offering interest from both afar and close up.
crossing overA “decisive moment’ image where a man is highlighted by sunlight streaming through an adjacent alleyway.
open windowAn open mirrored window reflects the light of blue sky and clouds.
reflecting on fallThis image is one of a series intent on capturing the vibrant autumn colors on a pond in Vermont. I was struck by the calmness of the pond, graced by a wind-free fall morning. Surface reflections provided a true artist's palette of color mimicking those witnessed on the far shore.I adore the painterly and calming effect this image provides - this can be hung as-is pr rotated 180 degrees to provide an image perhaps less challenging to the eye but with correspondingly less intrigue.
flukes of natureA sight common to those traveling in Vermont, shot with a long exposure to simplify a slow-moving sky
approaching duskA calm sea captured shortly before the sun sets
a hesitant stepAn anxious boy hesitates ahead of stepping into an unfamiliar environment.
tulip dreamAn abstract view of the heart of a Tulip.

baby bloomerA young Sunflower captured as it bursts from the bud
alone with his thoughtsA man shares the world with a solitary cloud on a blue-sky day. Who can tell what thoughts are going through his mind as he relaxes in the sun.
curtain callA torn and faded curtain keeps prying eyes from viewing the interior remains of this abandoned home
